Hanne Bakelants

Hanne Bakelants obtained a master’s degree in Educational Sciences (2019, Catholic University of Leuven) and a master’s degree in Globalisation and Development Studies (2020, Maastricht University). In October 2020, she joined the End-of-Life Care research group as a doctoral researcher working on the development, implementation, and evaluation of Compassionate Communities. Through action research she aims to examine the processes and mechanisms that lead to successful Compassionate Communities’ development by identifying implementation opportunities, barriers, and potential for scale up and spread.
