Brenda Van Delft

Brenda van Delft is a pediatric nurse (1991) with a Master’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery (2016), and she earned the title of Ventilation Practitioner in 2012. Brenda works as a Nurse Specialist in respiratory care within neonatology and pediatrics and coordinates the nurse specialists at UZ Brussel.

Her doctoral research focuses on respiratory care within neonatology, specifically "Non-invasive respiratory support in neonates under 37 weeks of gestation," with a primary focus on developing a weaning guideline. Additionally, she is conducting large-scale research on the use of NIV-NAVA in neonatology alongside Dr. Julie Lefevere.
