The third COCO seminar will focus on grief and loss in the workplace and will be led by guest speaker An Hooghe (PhD.). Grief and loss are part of life, and they are therefore also part of professional life. The impact of a drastic loss on professional life is particularly large. The impact of the support one receives from the professional context on the grieving process is also not to be underestimated. What are the challenges and guidelines in the event of the death of a colleague? What are the points of attention when supporting a colleague who is dealing with a meaningful death? What can be done in the acute phase around death, and what should be taken into account in the long term?
An Hooghe (PhD.) is a clinical psychologist and Relationship & Family Therapist with expertise in grief, illness and loss from a relationship and family perspective. Her expertise centre 'Verbinding in Verlies’ (‘Connection in Loss') offers professional care, guidance and grief training to clients, care providers and organisations around remorse, death, illness and loss in the broadest sense of the word.

Het derde COCO seminarie zal gaan over rouw en verlies op het work en wordt verzorgd door gastspreker An Hooghe (PhD.). Rouw en verlies zijn onderdeel van het leven, en het horen dus ook bij het professionele leven. De impact van een ingrijpend verlies op het professioneel leven is bijzonder groot EN ook de impact van de steun die men krijgt vanuit de professionele context is van niet te onderschatten belang voor het rouwproces. Wat zijn de uitdagingen en richtlijnen bij het overlijden van een collega? Wat zijn aandachtspunten bij het steunen van een collega die te maken kreeg met een betekenisvol overlijden? Wat kan er gedaan worden in de acute fase rondom het overlijden, en waar moet op gelet worden op lange termijn?
An Hooghe (PhD.) is klinisch psychologe en Relatie & Gezinstherapeut met expertise in rouw, ziekte en verlies vanuit een relatie- en gezinsperspectief. Haar expertisecentrum 'Verbinding in Verlies' biedt professionele zorg, begeleiding en rouwopleiding aan cliënten, hulpverleners en organisaties rondrouw, overlijden, ziekte en verlies in de brede zin van het woord.
